Well after yesterdays Frog Chorus induced flashback here we go again....love these threads, can the merge meisters do their thing with the thread Oliver posted as these are class.
First bike I bought was a burgandy raleigh frame with gold mudguards,(hipster) bought at local auction with savings from my Post Office savings account, Jesus that makes me feel old.
Then Gran bought me a blue chrome Raleigh Bomber, on reflection this started my passion for blue bikes, thought I was the mutts nuts with this despite it weighing as much as a small moon. I'm so amazed I used cycle round the hills of Wales on this with only 3 Sturmley Archer gears.
Hand me down original Raleigh Burner I got from my older brother who got the newer gold one with black mags, I had Burner envy.
Then a gap as like all boys in the sticks as soon as 17 birthday arrived it was all about cars.
Then came to London for Uni and it was all about bikes again.
Red white and blue GT hardtail, can't remember model,Arrowline?? or something, sold to mate.
Second hand Cannondale F1000 with 48tooth big ring that was a road rocket, nicked.
Cannondale Jekyll 800, cracked frame.
Giant Reign 2-nicked, was proper distraught about that as it was'nt insured.
And that brings it up to the current fleet of warranty replacement Jekyll, Flyer, Mercian and Denti.
Alas no photos as they all at my folks in Wales but this has inspired me to scan them onto computer when I'm next back to get a proper bike family tree, Will post them at later date.
