the ls merino jerseys come up big. unless you're a 'tight' xl i'd think about giving the L a go. I'm 5'9" and on the L there's a good inch and a half of extra sleeve on there if I pull them straight (but I seem to have skinny arms these days so it might shorten up a little if you've got thicker arms than I).
the jersey is comfy though, but perhaps not £100 comfy
the fast emerging rapha running trend and my own personal experience is also that it's also very good for running in. although if you sweat like I do you'll end up with a weird dewy mist-like sheen on the outside where it's done a great job of wicking it away. up close it looks a bit too twilight sparkly vampire for my liking but I'm normally running in tights so that's the least of my concerns.
