One time, Brick Lane Bikes broke into my house and took a massive shit behind the lounge door so when I opened it it all smeared into the carpet. True story.
A kid who lived in my street when I was younger broke into a neighbours house and took a shit in their Playstation before setting their bed on fire. True stories.
Don't think he works in BLB though. Just sayin'

I remember flashing an LCC card to chance a 10% discount. Cue looks of disdain all round. 'We don't usually get that kind of customer in here'.

So no real cyclists go there? Just hipsters looking for their Shoreditch poodle to stroll to the pub with?

Since when has the LCC been home to real cyclists?
-
• #720
I remember chatting with a guy at the Holborn Cyclesurgery about this. Disdain of the LCC types, happy to discount for the BC types.

Most mass market frames are chinese or taiwanese made anyway, that includes a lot of the "own brand" frame makers. If you want something English made then you need to be looking going down the Bob Jackson, Mercian, Rourke route, but costs are much higher.
Feedback on the BLB frames are OK however as a shop they have a reputation for the occasional lapse in service standards. Shop14 is an alternative to consider for own brand frames. Brixton Cycles is highly regarded as a cycle shop as well.

Thanks Aroogah :] youve cleared up alot on my mind.
BTW have you had experience or would you recommend the BLB track frame? -
• #724
No direct experience with the frames I'm afraid. I would suggest that you go and try several and find one that you are comfortable with.

I heard they poured chemicals into the sewer system and polluted the Grand Union canal, killing thousands of freshwater fish.
Yes, also to balance things out, I feel the same. Retrospective of the last
4/5 years is more positive than negative, but then again I know them, They know
me, a little discount here, blah, blah, blah.... but yes, I can see that generally
they're shit, badly run.
My 1st experiences there were awful, now it's cool but I just don't go there.
There's too many rotten apples inside, but there's (was) good people there.
