It's not single speed or fixed gear, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to mention Trixie, who was stolen from outside Highbury Pool on Tuesday. Don't think I can confront the people who stole her as I am 5'4 and 130 lbs.
Description:
Specialized Globe Sport (ladies), 2008 I think but maybe 2007
Black
Schwalbe tyres
rear pannier rack with a brompton light
cat eye spotlight at the front (it's a bit wobbly)

Please, eye-peeled for a Cannondale Bad-Boy, from roughly 2008, fully black, trimmed bars.

Hi guys and gals,
No idea where to post this, but thought it would be worth a (very long) shot on here. Built a bike up for my brother and less than a month letter some little crap has nicked it. its pretty distinctive I guess, nothing too special but be hard to miss it, so if anyone sees it around or anything similar then please give us a bell on here. I'm in leeds but the bike/brother are somewhere in london. Cheers in advance for any help..tim
(just a quick description, falcon 531 frame, around 60cm, 5 speed, high flanged hubs, chopped bull horn bars now with brown tape, charge seat, bright red ha)

can you give us a rough area of london? more often than not the bike will come up for sale in a similar area to where it was stolen.
that is pretty spottable, especially with that bull horn/brake lever combo.

My house just got burgled, not my flat but the communal areas, front corridor.
Bugger, when I saw this on the other thread, I thought it was a joke. Hope he gets it back! Contact the Hackney Cycle Crime Unit. Apart from the theft, they'll no doubt be interested in someone who goes around kicking doors in. I suppose you can reasonably expect there to be unlocked bikes in a lot of Hackney Hallways, so perhaps it's his method.

Highbury Pool is a known theft hotspot. There have been problems there for years. Good luck with finding Trixie.

Hi Louis, I think the bike was nicked from upper street in islington..not too used to the area or lonfon at all really so any pointers as to anywhere that might be in the business of selling dodgey bikes would be great. The bike isn't worth much but spent a lot of hours buffering/degreasing! So wouldn't mind finding the idiot whos now enjoying it..

Still no sign unfortunately. It certainly hasn't been for sale online. Still searching. The belt project build has finally begun with the final piece of the jigsaw arriving last week from the US.

Everything so far is working out beautifully - the Alan frame takes the rear hub and the Gates gear (we weren't sure as had to stretch the rear dropouts from 126mm to 135 and belt line has to be mm perfect), so just needs to be put together now. Cannot wait. Will post a few pictures when it's done. It's been 18 months in the making. Oh and if the Mrs asks this piece of equipment cost me about £30...

Just had my Thomson seatpost and Brooks saddle nicked outside Waitrose in Barbican. I sped over to Brick Lane on a mission but of course it was ridiculous. If anyone sees them pop up for sale I'd appreciate a heads up. 27.1 x 330 silver and Team Pro S chrome honey 3 years old-looking. A good innings at least.
Thanks

Taken off my bike on my balcony right outside my front door two floors up Sunday evening in SE1...
Must have been planned or friend of a local job - you can't see the balcony from the road and you have to have very good eyesight to spots a brooks by chance on a second floor balcony from below.
Anyway - I'll stop grumbling. Brooks swift - dark brown - well used but well looked after (lots of beeswax). On a black alloy seatpost with a single clamp.
If the cnut is asking less than 25 quid please buy it and I'll pay you back. Otherwise - any information gratefully received - and I'll go and retrieve it myself.
Cheers in advance

Hope you get it back.

Holy shit, you done been robbed by spiderman.
Possibly best thing to do would be to check in on the local fathers4justice group and see who had that costume last.

Stolen last night from my garden in Leytonstone. RECOVERED
GT Avalanche 1.0 2009 or 08 size medium (raw aluminium).
As the bike was mainly used by my step-son to move around the town I swapped the pedals from SPDs to flat Welgo BMX ones and the seatpost was carbon Ritchey.
Tyres on at the moment were slick Schwalbe.Looks like this one:

Bike was found.
My neighbour's son bought it for £20 off some kid who bought it from another kid who stole it.
The front wheel's missing.I'm not entirely happy with the outcome, as paying for stolen goods only encourages them to come back fishing in my garden.
