Let me buy a tyre a month so that I can look cool and ride a bike with no visible braking equipment (I still think skidding is lame).

Just buy Maxxis Refuse. I did extensive research, and testing, and they're just the best tyre going.

Unless the duranos last twice as long I can't see the point, might try a refuse.

I've got a nearly new pair of 700x28's if anyone wants them, £15 picked up from Shoreditch? One has done about 20 miles, the other about 200. They actually measure up closer to 25's though.
