The TFG set claim to be hand built, though I know Arup has a good reputation :)
I'm trying to decide what's best. I have a set of wheels off a Charge Plug Freestyler that I'm considering having rebuilt with DB spokes, keeping the rims/hubs. Is this worth doing? The wheels are 18 months old, the rear started popping spokes last year so, after replacing 4 or 5 in close succession, it's been in retirement for a while.
Yeah, I saw they were listed as handbuilt afterwards, hence the edit.
Quite often, once one spoke goes, they all start going. The hubs will be absolutely fine (unless the bearings are shot) - I think they're usually Formula hubs on Plugs, aren't they? Things might be improved a bit with a lighter pair of rims but even a straight rebuild of the originals with good quality DB spokes would give them a new lease of life. Definitely worth doing IMO.
