a user posted my real name, although this was withdrawn after I requested that the user edit their comment. it was also reported
it was getting out of hand; what was a bit of banter and mickey-taking was fast becoming nasty
a user was sharing knowledge of my purchases on ebay
the same user was posting comments that could be interpreted as threatening, this is in relation to the comments 'i have his name and flickr account'.
I understand that this thread may need to be reopened to give BLB the chance to respond to three things that have been said against them:
misselling goods - track or road frame and forks
accepting cash in addition to a 'Cyclescheme' voucher
grossly overpricing their stock
I only joined the forum after BLB recommended it as i am keen to sell my bike. Naively, i did not read the rules with regards to selling. I quickly withdrew my post here, and issued an apology. The thread just degenerated from there.
Dear Mr X
There was no threat. You had asked me to edit your name out of the post which I did. However due to the nature of the posts and that we were unsure that you were genuine I thought it best that people were aware that if needed we had some of your details.
I am sorry that you left your details up on flickr and ebay, and that you felt threatened by me finding them. Discovering them was not exactly difficult, they were on your ebay link and on your flickr page, so in many ways it was a pointless exercise for me to withdraw them.
There were no threats in any of the language used. I am sorry you felt threatened.
Hope you find a happy solution. I would be going back to BLB and demanding they take the frame back as it was clearly sold falsely, trade it for a track frame.
