  • and yeah, my missus told me to walk away hours ago before she went to bed. I never bloody learn to listen...

My missus also is always right on such things. I never listen, always bloody my nose.

Your bike has quality parts, if you want to recover as much of the value as possible the thing to do would be to split it all up. But maybe it's become such a nightmare that you don't want to expend the time and energy for that.

You could just ride it. I'd change the bar tape and put the saddle at the right angle. It may not be "pure" in terms of aesthetics and pedigree (i.e. a track bike, if that's what you were looking for), but Rossin do good frames, and whilst mis-matched you've got good components on there... so I'm sure you'd enjoy the ride anyway.

Don't let the feckers on here get you down.

Oh, and if you are going to go shopping: Tokyo Fixed Gear will take care of you, as would Brixton Cycles, Shop 14, etc.

For what I guess you're looking for, I would probably do Tokyo Fixed Gear in Soho. Speak to Max and let him know that I recommended him (use my name, forum admin, etc) and tell him what happened and could you set him straight with the right bike and straight talking. He's a good guy.
