Whichever way you look at it, dragging PD info into this thread amounted to a misguided public flogging, publishing PD info here changes it's context and is a pretty flagrant (if fun at the time) way to reappropriate what is public info. On the receiving end, it felt like harassment. I was just trying to sell a bike.
That said, there have since been more rational and constructive comments from considerate users, especially now we've all had our fun about my shocking naivety. I understand the importance of making such a freaking din to scare off genuine scammers and piss takers.
Aside from quoting my mates opinion about how he perceives BLB, I hadn't slighted BLB in anyway on my post. Simply stated the facts (as yet unproven on this forum), with regards to the costs, which are in black and white and on an official printed receipt and the 'Cyclescheme' deal. The only bit that's harder to sort is about track frame/race frame, that will only ever be a pretty fruitless 'you said/he said' debate.
Bottom line: buyer beware. Good for BLB if they can get away with those prices, isn't it one of the basic premises of how capitalism works in a free market society?
and yeah, my missus told me to walk away hours ago before she went to bed. I never bloody learn to listen...
Thanks for clearing that up Velocio.
