just watching the Bourne identity
featuring a slowish car chase where he is in a red french mini like car being chased by some gendarme on slow vespa type bikes...

A slow car chase is better than no car chase

I always liked that car chase. I thought it was really slickly edited and had a couple of nice character touches and all.

I'll tell you what though - the opening car chase in The Transporter with Jason 'Crank 2: "He died. But he got better"' Statham - I maintain is fucking awesome.

Silly. But awesome.
