One swallow doesn't make a summer.
Especially when those wins are against the might of Wolves, Fulham and Stoke.
ARE YOU WINDING ME UP?! I'm not saying we're anywhere near the finished article by any stretch of the imagination however, you don't have to go back that far to read the likes of YOU and everyone else having a mass orgy on our grave. Wolves already beat us this season, as did Stoke. I honestly couldn't say with any confidence that we wouldn't be in a releagtion scrap. If we did find ourselves there did we have the players to fight?
You likened us to NUFC fans attempting to draw parallels with Keegan. Mr Dalish has been at EVERY single home game and could see with his own eyes what was up and what needed changing unlike Keegan who was out of the country and had nothing to do with footie, when they called on him.
We had the piss ripped out of us by the 'knowledgable' ones here questioning the wisdom of us wanting nice guy Woy out.
As for swallowing, speak to Clive once he's off his knees this weekend.

Isn't that what Wenger does around transfer window time?

Nothing beats having MG posting live in the football thread, it's the highlight of the week.
My God, Liverpool win a couple of games against some average teams and suddenly next year it's going to be their year. King Kenny at the helm and everything will be fine. You've got to love those gullible Sousers.
-
• #27934
I think you are missing the point.
It is the style of play and how we are going about it that is pleasing to us fans, well me at least.
And don't forget, as MG says, we were beaten by the same teams earlier in the season. -

I wanted to join because Chelsea always have shown a big respect for me.
They really want me and it is important when you have the support of the people in the club,
and the support of the fans who always showed respect to me when I came to Stamford Bridge and at Anfield.
Now I am very happy to be a Chelsea player. ”Quality.
I wonder how he will react to Liverpool supporters singing this:He's half a boy and half a girl
TORRES TORES
He looks just like a tranvestite
TORRES TORRES
He wears a frock, he loves the c***, he sells his ass on albert dock
FERNANDO TORRES CARRAGHERS BIT ON THE SIDE
na na na na na .,.......... to the tune of johney comes marching home..... -

I hope you don't fail in other aspects of your life as you did here^.
It is three wins and I don't think we are going down- which I felt was a ditinct possibility a little while back.
"next year it's going to be their year" <- wopper. When did you hear me or anyone say that?

A search for mikec's posts on this thread pulls up some 43 pages of stuff. I have not the time to trawl through all of that.

Perhaps it wasn't MG that said it, but the rest of the Scouse contingent on this thread did.

snagged a win against blackburn, crouchie scoring his second league goal SECOND!!!
Christ we need a striker, wish Levy had put his short arm in his deep pocket and bitten the bullet to get Suarez, seeing his debut for liverpool. But you've got to play the cards your dealt. And Defoe is one streaky run away from being our top scorer so fingers crossed.. -

We had a good couple of pages not talking about liverpool as well...

We need another top quality central midfielder, a really good centre back, and a striker.. oh and to not play Hutton.

Oii fuck off you lot.
I have never said it's going to be our year.
Am I allowed to say that I think next year will see an improvement on this year? -
• #27945
Yes, although this will be taken, twisted and used against you in a court of Pisti.

@ dan and hellomiles, I don't think Hutton has been too bad this season, he's not been as attacking as I would like, but he and lennon have formed a nice partnership over there on the right, and seem to link well, i wish he'd overlap a bit more and motor forward, but he doesn't seem to want to.
Also Assou-Ekotto has come on leaps and bounds this season, despite the odd erratic moment, and has cast hutton in a less favourable light.@ Dan, not sure we need another center mid, have hopes for Sandro once he gets the pace of the premiership, huddlestone and modric, are first choice, maybe if we can prise diarra from madrid, but he's had health problems recently, maybe a raid on one of the french clubs, to get someone creative over there.
definitely need a striker, but defensively, kaboom has come on strong, gallas is putting in a shift, and dawson, once he gets over being so impetuous is a strong defender, bolton mate of mine, says we should bite the bullet and put in a bid for "future england captain" (his words not mine) Gary Cahill.

Next year could be our year, but then i've been repeating that mantra for a few years now
King Kenny
another couple of players in the summer
watchout here we come -

list of players we tried and failed to bring in during this transfer window...
If we can wedge our way back into fourth this season, losing out might be a blessing in disguise as we'll be able to get players cheaper in the summer. But I'm not holding my breath about us getting fourth...
