  • I have an Exposure 6 pack, it is ace, even on the lowest setting, and it lasts for days between charges.
    worth every penny

  • I notice that, 24 hours on the lowest setting, and 3 hours on the brightest, actually on pair with my Exposure Joystick.

  • I fecked up and ordered a US charger with my magicshine. I could'nt be bothered contacting Extremedeals, so ordered a new one through Magicshine.co.uk. Man they were quick getting one out to me. Thumbs up

Even though I only use medium setting I've now moved my 'hotspot' further forward. As the spill lights up the surrounding area so well. The recent thawing out has led to typical pothole problems. But my ride in was considerbly smoother than usual, as I could easily avoid them.

    Very happy.

  • The power switch on the mars 3.0 is pretty irritating. Difficult to press with fingers, impossible with gloves. The cherrybomb is superior.

  • I finally got the £1.50 ebay lights and tried them last night with cheapo aaa batteries from m&s.
Can't recommend them enough, they are super bright.

    here's the link again: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/5w-LED-CREE-Flashlight-Torch-Bike-Bicycle-Rear-Light-G_W0QQitemZ150440340100QQcategoryZ22689QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DDLSL%252BSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BDDSIC%26otn%3D8%26pmod%3D150440339821%252B150440339821%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6777684716532288749

I also bought one of these recently, the front light in really bloody bright, on mine the flashing mode is pretty much off but as a static light its great to see and be seen with.
don't even bother with the rear though, mine was made of cheese and didn't even work!

  • ^interesting. they seem a bit of a lottery, my front light falshes really fast and is very visible. the rear one is not the best, but mine is till bright and functions fine, with 2 flashing modes and one static.

i'd email them and request a replacement

I have to push my thumbnail right into the rubber - it's easy enough from precisely the right angle, and impossible otherwise.

I'm wondering if I can glue something on to make it easier.

  • What are the Mars & Voyager Clicks like?
You just whack the front of the light to turn them on and off.
Presume they're brighter than Fleas but a fair amount.

  • my mate has voyager clicks. they're nice, but they turn on in your bag a bit. My fleas are much brighter.

I'm quite suprised to hear people having issues with the Mars 3, I've only heard good things about them in the past. Mine is a few years old and I don't have a problem with the switch. It's fine to turn on and off with or without gloves. Has it always been bad for you guys or is it something that's deteriorated with use/age?

  • the switch is shit

    the light itself is great

  • The switch is fine, as long as you don't try to click it with your fleshy thumb pad. Nothing more irritating than lights switching on in your bag, even if stashing it there is a rare occurrence.

  • It usually means you have a poltergeist in your bag.

  • Which means I must have a weird old woman and/or a native American in there too. No wonder it's so fucking heavy.

  • I carry these three in my bag.

  • My Bag

  • Pimp my leaf blower.

  • don't know if it's already been mentioned. But those exposure lights that impressed everyone at the cycle show are available at tokyo fixed

I recon I'll get some soon.

  • I'm not so keen on the snap-on method of attachment. I tried it at the show, and it felt like it might not survive deep potholes. Could be wrong though.

  • Not an issue. My Fourth lights use the same attachment method, I use them mainly on my MTB.

  • I don't get that^ clamp arrangement: is it just for seat posts? I sometimes like to attach lights to seatstays when using a saddlebag, and I'd like to be able to wrap it onto the back plate of a pannier rack too...

And the moon. On a fucking stick.

  • Oh that's the front one. But anyway.

You could be, and are wrong.

clamp work fine, the rubber band is what you use to insert it on the seatpost/handlebar.
