Uhh, they're so ugly.
can't believe it's designed by the same person as the fixed shoeI really like them. And you can actually walk in them - good for touring or general city riding (like when on holidays for example). I like my Shimano MTB shoes, but sometimes want to look less technical and gimpy.

I know they're good, got a pair of "fixed shoes".
Just the esthetics: tourer looks like a fixed's ugly sister.
Ignore me, they're meant for a men anyway -

I know, but who's going to see that?

hehe, you're right
price isn't too bad when you look at the price of sidi's, and these are twice as nice -

Wrong. First and last pages are ones to go for (or rather first and last post).

^^ I called the shop about those to see if they took a cleat or not (no picture of the sole) the nice lady took my number and said someone would call me back but nobody ever did.
Just found these which look rather nice:

Have a pair of these on order, will let you know what they're like once they've worn in (they do take cleats). Work out at about 85 quid including postage, which doesn't seem too bad:

dont see how people find it so hard to produce a decent looking cycling shoe

What would you considered proper? none of the one mentioned above?
Have to says I'm quite impressed wit my Quoc Pham, after breaking them in (they were uncomfortably stiff), it become much more comfortable and well fitted, the only problem I have is simply that it didn't grip too well on the White Industries platform pedals I was using, fine on other pedals thought.

I think i might buy another pair of quoc's I love mine so much, they are the comfiest shoes i own now that i've broken them in - they were a bit bitey to start off with.
Always riding don't have my size and the Β£20 postage fee annoys me on the quoc pham site.might get some more anyway - i love them so.
oh and Ed you're right, the grip is shit on them sometimes especially in the wet - that's my only complaint.

Those Quocs look very nice. I'm in the market for a classic looking pair, and they're pretty. I've been looking at Rivat but they don't pop up on ebay in my size, but I found these elsewhere;
from here;
Has anybody bought from them before? They seem to be permanently undergoing web maintenance and pretty much all their stock is marked as sold out, so wonder whether they've hit the skids.

Of most interest on the Specialized stand was their β74β road shoe in a retro look but with modern features. A full kangaroo leather upper is styled to look like a 30 year old shoe but in place of laces 2 modern Boa dials deal with foot securing. A FACT carbon sole with a Body Geometry footbed is drilled for an up-to-date road cleat and thereβs a proud heel tread.

Ive Just oredered some of the William Lennon shoes, I emailed them to ask if they were available in any other colour than black, and for a few more pennies they will make them out of whatever leather stock they currently have.
Still a load cheaper than the competition. -

I posted this in the ebay finds but realized it might be better placed here. The nice people at Dromarti have some of their cycling shoes offered for Β£99 instead of the Β£180 RRP because of a minor defect. Just got mine, and they are lovely. I really like the Quoc Phams I have been using for the past two years, but these are indeed a new class. I struggled to justify full price for them, but for Β£99 I am more than happy. Looking forward to trying them on the bike. Sizes are limited, but I emailed to learn they had some that weren't listed on the site.
