  • To be honest with you I always make a jack-of-all-trades, but judging by the more 'pro' guides I've read, they recommend giving all your SPECIAL points over to a couple of specific skills and make up the deficit with in-game collectables. Charisma is usually the first to suffer, you can always bully your way though dialogue.

I'm at a stage now where I'm having to make a genuinely hard decision, I'm completely torn. I might go with my heart. Siding with a certain group might alienate more powerful potential allies, but fuck it, at least when I retire the game to it's box I'll know I fought for the right cause, even if they're reclusive techno-monks.

I started off tagging Guns, Repair and Speech, with special something like 4,7,5,6,5,7,5 (can't remember exactly). But I realised lockpick is quite important. I nearly started a fresh, but I've become quite attached to my courier now. Picked the extra 2 skill points perk and slowly building them up.

If I did restart, I think I'd make a sneaky melee character. In fact I might just make a new character and see what its like. I find with games like this you always get a different experience.
