  • Loving F:NV. I was a massive fan of Fallout 1 & 2, and never picked up Fallout 3, but for £15 in asda snapped up New Vegas. Absolutely loving it. It's funny how close it is to the originals, despite being a different perspective. Great to see some old faces like Marcus. I'm not far into it (just been to Boulder City), but spent so much time faffing around and exploring.

My trouble is I always end up making a bit on an unbalanced character on my first play through, so didn't get much joy with all the locked doors and terminals in the Repconn HQ.

To be honest with you I always make a jack-of-all-trades, but judging by the more 'pro' guides I've read, they recommend giving all your SPECIAL points over to a couple of specific skills and make up the deficit with in-game collectables. Charisma is usually the first to suffer, you can always bully your way though dialogue.

I'm at a stage now where I'm having to make a genuinely hard decision, I'm completely torn. I might go with my heart. Siding with a certain group might alienate more powerful potential allies, but fuck it, at least when I retire the game to it's box I'll know I fought for the right cause, even if they're reclusive techno-monks.
