I would advise against the Pen Olly/N3lson, I looked into the EP-1/2 and the GF1 before going for the GF1. I didn't like the ergonomics of the Pen but it's also much slower to focus than the GF1. Plus the Panny lenses are much better (their pancake is sharper and faster), so the in body stabilisation isn't needed unless you're going to use an adapter and older lenses. The screen is also way superior on the GF1, plus it has a built in flash. And the raw is sharper and has more detail than the output from the Pen.
You get the picture... Suffice to say I wouldn't worry about not being able to afford the Pen, I really think the GF1 is a better camera.
