ThinkPads aren't what they used to be since Lenovo took over.
I've used the IBM version for years and they were robust and reliable machines.
We just got £1500 Lenovo's at work in December and the mobile users hate them.
Ill fitting batteries, cracks on the wrist rests and various unexplainable freezing.
People are asking for their 4 year old Dells back and threatening to buy their own machines.
completely the opposite experience I had at an old job. Were forced to replace Lenovos with dells progessively by the parent company. they were a hunk of shite, badly put together, unreliable hardware and cracking hinges all over the place, and the hardware service and support were shite. went back to lenovo, everyone's happy again.
Just goes to show some models from any given brand are good, some are crap.
