  • I dunno, I don't fancy Kings Speech because a) it's got that bloke in it who will forever be that posh twat in Richard Curtis films and b) everyone says it's 'brilliant' etc etc etc therefore I am deeply distrustful - the dullards in my office will watch it because it's winning awards, not because they wanna see it.....

    and Black Swan just doesn't appeal to me at all......

    I took my mother to see The King's Speech on Saturday.

    It was her birthday, and I knew my dad wouldn't fancy a film like that, so I got him off the hook and took her to the cinema.

    I really enjoyed the film. Colin Firth was really good, and Geoffrey Rush was awesome, in my opinion. The cinematography was excellent - the outdoor shots were eerie and really captured the strange tension of the build up to war.

    It was pretty funny too, which doesn't really come across in the trailers. I might not opt to see it at the cinema, if the choice was up to me, but it's definitely worth a watch.
