Braking surface on front rim but no brake?

Used the wheelset on a fixie with front brake before I got that track frame.
Running that frame with new fork and front brake now as well. Doesn´t look as nice anymore but does its daily job.

(long valves are a little distracting and probably rattle at speed)

also be nice if the wheels where a matching set.
