Specialized Roubaix tape is padded and has that grippy fabric finish to it. Not cheap though.

IME the regular Cinelli cork tape is great. Not too soft, not too thin, grippy in the wet. All the really cheap tape I've tried has been horrible.

Alright thanks! I've got a pretty solid idea on what I think I should go for. I'll go see what the LBS's got.
