They do indeed ride as well as they feel, i am now wondering how long they'll last, as im almost tempted to buy a second pair for when these wear out!
-
• #228
Sweet, probably gonna try some on at evans and see if they'll do a price match on them.

As I said, im (currently) well impressed, they've ticked all the boxes I was looking for in terms of casual SPD's. Wickeds. I just hope they dont fall to pieces super quick, but they appear to be pretty well made. fingers crossed.

So, was using the 661's. They're great for riding, except that there is toe overlap even with the cleats set as far forward as possible and they look like shoes for 'special' people.
However, after a trip to the cool dudes at Continuum Cycles whilst in NYC I got a pair of these DZR's for £60...
Stiff soles, no toe overlap and look great.

Those do look good. Has it solved your problem of toe overlap? Because that sounds more like the result of your frame geometry.
-
• #232
Yeah, no overlap now. I think it was just due to the chunkiness of the 661's as I had no problem when I used to ride with traps...

edited-didn't read the post properly.
Don't know about those shoes. Read the reviews they probably tell you. -

My mission/dzr rondels look like they are slowly deforming, like the sole is gradually sliding up the shoe.

I had a pair, and I had a problem with the stitching on the inside.

Nice one, only problem I've had with mine is the laces snapping, I've broken each lace twice now which is a bit annoying.
A bit of stitching has broken around the toe box on one shoe too but I'm pretty sure this is a result of repeatedly slamming pretty hard and scraping them along the ground at polo so can't complain.

Just got my pair of fiveten hellcats in the post, first impressions:
They're pretty heavy/chunky, but look like they'll stand anything, the stitching is awesome.
Problem is, they don't seem to fit me very well, like i can't get them tight enough to feel secure without them becoming uncomfortable. Plus they look ridiculous on the ends of my chicken legs... Will probably keep looking, might try the 661s... -

I'd really like some DZR Ovis, have been in contact with them about shipping to the UK, they will do it on a case by case basis via Paypal payment, however shipping is $80!
Too rich for my blood. -
