Emilie Gossiaux: Cyclist blinded

Dear Buro 9 Limited* or To Whom It May Concern;

Thank you for your recent $100 contribution. Emily is overwhelmed, as are her mom, boyfriend, and I, from all the people who have Chipped In. She is still in recovery and struggling at NYU but has a positive outlook in life. At first she didn't want to live anymore because she was informed about her vision. Her left eye was too traumatized and has a zero possibility of her sight to return. Her right eye has a slight 5% chance for recovery. However, with a lot of faith and hope we continue to pray for her to see again. Miracles have already occurred, we witnessed it ourselves.

After facial surgery, left femur fracture replaced with a titanium rod, pelvis fractures with screws, abdomen incision to relieve swelling, and a stroke causing slight right arm paralysis, she came out of her silent world after her boyfriend used his index finger writing on the palm of her hand.
