Depends on the circumstances... That does sound a bit like something that an RLJ/mobile using/speeding motorist would say though.
Not worth trying to get away really, even if the bike cop looks out of condition. Making off is treated much more seriously than whatever you could be stopped for - as it suggests that you might be a bad un eg bicycle thief
