  • Because your hair is wet and it's fucking cold outside. Logical no?

I have zero hair and only start sneezing 30-60mins after swim, when I am indoors. WTF.

  • Are you allergic to something that you encounter after you swim?

  • That means it's contagious.
Get away from the forum. Please.

  • chlorine irrates my noise somes and makes me sneeze, maybe you're having a delayed reaction.

  • Are you allergic to something that you encounter after you swim?

Logic says this is a chlorine issue.

  • I used to swim back in school, also had a funny reaction to chlorine.
Not sneezing and stuff, just rashes.

  • Oh, and gargle with tepid salty water 2/3 times a day.

I had to do this once. Didn't think it would be too bad... it was really fucking grim.

  • the only logical explanation for the sneezing/swimming conundrum is you have an unsuccessful sex-pest frequent your pool. due to the regularity with which he attempts to attack women only for his advances to be knocked back by their pepper spray canisters, he then retreats to the local swimming baths to bathe his burning bits the pepper spray is then diluted into the water where it gets passed through your nasal passage as you swim until it builds up to a level where you begin to sneeze.

quite simple when you think about it really.

  • You do know that it's not chlorine you're smelling at the swimming pool, don't you?

  • @HatBeard
    Of course, sounds quite reasonable.

  • ^I want that dog.

Everytime I see that dog's mug I remember Balki...
    Sorry buddy, I guess it's a good thing. :D
Put it this way, if that was my dog I'd call him Balki.

  • Does anyone know who the following person is, this is all I know:

He raced in the same team as Lance Armstrong, was a professional cyclist for 20 years and is now retired in New Zealand. He's called John.

Bit of a strange question I know, but I'd just like to know who this person is!

  • Yes.

I didn't need to know this.

  • **John Devine **

I win, where are my £5, please

  • I have some campag strada cranks on ebay at the moment, and it's at £23 so far. Why do people even bid amounts like £23? It's obvious it's not going to go for that much.

John Leiswyn. He used to write an excellent diary for www.cyclingnews.com and always came across as being a decent bloke.

  • Whoops, Rik...

  • Is Garmin Connect borked for anyone else?

  • Working for me.

  • Hmm, I get the following from two different computers:

    Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://connect.garmin.com/dashboard?" on this server. Reference #18.2308293e.1295300156.4f015686

  • Downloaded that highly professional digital audio tool 'Garageband 11' last night from the mac app store on my shitty 56k internet connection. Took a long time. Downloaded some lessons today (as part of a very drawn out process of teaching myself to play keys. I have a Yahama Portable Grand NP-30 which I've been fiddling around on and on a previous version of Garageband I remember connecting it and making da music.

This time,no such luck. I'm plugging it in using a Midi-to-USB converter, the same device I've used before.

I've plugged it in while GB is open and a pop up appears saying 'woah, you've just plugged in a midi device, go you!' or words to that extent, yet when I try and mash the keys with my fat fingers no noise comes out. I've tried fiddling with audio input and output settings but to no avail. I've created a software instrument, at least I think I have. I've tried using a 'Keyboard Collection' project which has a bunch of built in software instruments right?

Anyway, google has proved fruitless, anyone here able to spot the obvious mistake and let me know what I've missed?

When I play the lessons it's recognising that I have a keyboard connected. Just no joy getting any sound out of the bastard.

  • Mac might be different, but in Windows audio controls MIDI has its own volume/mute settings, so it might be worth a look to see if you have MIDI turned right down or muted if such a thing exists on a Mac.
