Bass related lameness: I bought myself a decent wall hanger for £15 from Denmark St this weekend so my bass can stop falling over all the time but as an afterthought I sent this email to the manufacturer:
*Hello,
I just bought the above model from a local shop and it comes with the fittings for a solid brick wall which I intend to put it up on.
It's probably a silly question but could you confirm that this will support an electric bass guitar weighing 16 pounds as I bought it from an acoustic guitar shop.
Thanks in advance,
'Me.'*
And I got this reply this morning:
Hi 'Me',
Yes the stand will hold your electric bass, however for safety’s sake I’d suggest longer screws and good quality rawl plugs. I use one of these hangers for my treasured Gibson Les Paul(which I’m sure you are aware is a heavy guitar) and with better fixings its been fine. Not to say the provided fixings won’t do the job, but ‘just in case’……

So what the fuck does that mean? Er, yeah but no but.
