No, it's a "mere puff", as that angle in advertising in known. You have no rights, no recourse, nothing; it's where caveat emptor comes into play.
And Trading Standards is a thing of the past.
Bend over and expose your arse to the corporate barbed-wire pole, trash-boy.
Why is trading standards a thing of the past?

Now goes to Consumer Direct, whereby you get ficked around by a call centre 19/12 and can't speak to your local TS people. Endless procedural and paperwork hoops are placed in your path to absolutely minimise the number of people who have the life force to see it through, presumably to it can be shit-canned later on due to "lack of demand". Even if you do stick it to the bitter life-diminishing end, they do absolutely fuck-all.

Agreed... red chain is purely functional
cost the exact same as a chain with no paint, I have used a yellow chain before because its all they had, my chain was fucked and it was only £7 so why not...

• #14655
i like your bike, it is definitely functional.
-
• #14656
What's the function then, J?

So don't dick about if you have an issue - go straight to litigating the matter through small claims. Simple online procedure, cheap, and gets people's attention.

there seem to be quite a few of this type of bike in london ? small front 650 in 700c fork
is it because they can't they afford lo-pro's ? but still like the constant downhill effect ? -

It's because most normal road/track frames won't bar spin with full sized wheel in place. Not that many of the hipsters riding them can do bar spins, or that they wouldn't be better off getting BMX if they want to do tricks, but that's why they do it.

That isn't even nice in a post apocalyptic way. Tha fact that it has a drum brake is cool, almost everything else is wank.

• #14674
i was looking at it as a rat bike...

I know, that's obviously the look the owner was after. But the crappy town bike frame and mismatched parts just don't cut it for me.
Needs front disk brake.
