While working at RSA about 10 years ago, I was one of the few people left in the building as everyone else had dissapered to some wanky awards show I answered the phone to some woman wanting to talk to Chris Cunningham (Madonna was seeing him at the time) I tald her he was not in and that he was at the award show. She asked me why I wasn't there and I told her I had to work. She didn't telm me who she was but told me it was not fair that I had to work when everybody else was getting pissed and having fun and that shed take me out when she was in town the following week. I thought she was just having a laugh and went along with it and told her my name.
Next week roles round and low and behold someone told me Madonna was asking for me in reception, we went drinks at Ronnie Scotts and she touch my knee (twice).True Fax folks, I've been on a date with Madge.
Married to Guy Richie, seeing Chris Cunningham, dating da tiles all at the same time.

Thanks to the guy who stopped to check if everything was okay on Walworth Road this evening. It's good to know some people still have courtesy and manners. Unlike those who gormlessly stared from the traffic lights as I worked on my bike. I don't mind you not stopping - you just want to get home, but I'm not exactly an exotic animal and you're no fucking David Attenborough so why the hell are you staring?

Damo, was that you overtaking me on kennington road this morning? The bike looked familiar and the gear was definitely spinny enough! You whipped left through the lights by the old vic so missed my chance to say hi. So hi. If it was indeed you.

Sounds like me. Spinny gear. Whipping through lights.
Sorry I didn't see you, I was timing it so I wasn't "jumping" but was "anticipating" the change.

Dammit in Forest Hill this morning. Sorry I didn't stop to chat, Neil, was running late for a 0830 meeting so was in a rush.
Of course, when I arrived I discovered the meeting was cancelled. Typical.
I think I saw Brett too, but riding a geared bike rather than his usual purple fixed?

I was in pretty stealthy mode, face all wrapped up, nice bike locked up at home for the winter (was on green pompino) and going very slowly.

Ah the green pompino. Then I did spot you. And someone else on one. And someone on a stickered up pompino with mudguards and a belk bag spinning like me.
It was pompino pompino pompino.
I was also giving the fingers to a people carrier around the pizza express in kennington.
