For a while, though it's a better idea to store them in a tuperware container than in their original box. It's pretty humid at the moment, so in my opinion the cold is more of a problem, along with constant temperature fluctuation. I've kept some cigars in a tuperware box, in my sock draw for months, and they were fine. They needed a humidor to bring them back to their best, but they survived.
