I remember being jeal of you getting this frame way back when, it looks live. If a 464 ever becomes available to me, I want to stealth it similar scheme to the Leader's. Although I find going all black kinda hard, but I like it. I prefer the new 'cockpit' I went for the same before x-mas and really like it.

Yeh. 7cm is about normal for a road bike but a bit low for say Newport or Manchester.

Thanks, I'm glad someone else likes it.

like probably 80% of the bikes on here it's unlikely that it'll ever see either of those tracks. If I went to Newport I'd probably hire a bike to save all the hassle of taking my own.

What's your pedals setup spotter?
-
• #39032
Currently I'm using some Black MKS GR-9 platform pedals I got imported from the US.
I chop and change reasonably often thought between them and spd's depending what kind of riding I'm doing. -
• #39033
you haz black metal clips?
-
• #39034
How many kinds do you do?

How many kinds do you do?
le what?
-
• #39036
What if you want to do a 3rd kind of riding? Do you have to buy another set of pedals ?
-
• #39037
toe clips, are they black or silver?
-
• #39038
tenderloin, if you want some black toe clips I have some plastic ones you can have.
-
• #39039
I use black plastic ones, but I did used to use double metal ones made by genetic http://www.geneticbikes.com/genetic/products-details.php?prod=PDGETDLG

oh right sorry, if I'm going any great distance or know I'll be on my bike for a long time I'll use my SPD's. If I'm just fucking about town, going to the pub etc I'll use platforms and cages. I don't like wearing my disco slippers around the place, if I kept the spd's on all the time I'd have to carry round a pair of normal shoes too and its a bit of a pain having to change back and forth.

• #39042
or buy some spd shoes that look like skate shoes ;)
-
• #39043
I don't like most of them as they look like big fat old fashioned skate shoes, I am tempted by the mission ones but they're a bit expensive for me atm
-
• #39044
fair enough. I wear similar shoes anyway so it's not much different. The mission ones are a bit pricey.
-
• #39045
I prefer slimmer shoes that I can do up nice and tight, I used to wear Vans Authentic, but the canvas would never last. I changed to Leather Era's, longest lasting skate shoe I've personally used.

Hate vans. Crap for skating, crap for walking, crap looking, crap quality.

They're also crap for cycling.

spotter, have a look at the bontrager race mountain shoes, they're comfortable, well priced (we have them for under £40 at Evans) and reasonably stiff.
I walked everyday on those, which were fine.

those look like orthopaedic trainers.
Doesn't feel low to me at all, never had any problem with pedal strike in corners etc.
