So I was talking with a number of people last night about the playoffs, and there seemed to be unanimous opinion that we can't continue our current structure and slow pace for fixtures: one fixture release every two weeks, meaning that (since we have five games each in the playoffs), league will not be finished for 10 weeks after the playoffs begin.
The following alternative seemed to appeal to everyone there last night:
Teams will automatically know which other teams they have to play. The top 3 in each division will all play each other, and likewise for the middle three and bottom three. Let's simply give a deadline of when the playoffs need to be finished (say, five or six weeks) and let the teams figure out when they can play each other.
