as soon as the papers* dont like something, people jump on the disgust bandwagon and complain the next day
its exactly what happened when russel brand left a message on that guy's answerphone, no-one gave a toss until the tabloids disapproved - suddenly it's outrageous and people get an opportunity to be self-righteous about something
*I say papers, they are more like comics
