It's exciting, sod it. I used to watch Eastenders years ago, then binned it, but have watched a few episodes over Christmas, due to the storyline in question/having nothing better to do, and thoroughly enjoyed it. No reason why a soap can’t tackle issues like that. Much better than Ian Beale getting lamped by Phil Mitchell for the umpteenth time for serving him soggy chips. The episodes at New Year were particularly good, nice and harrowing.
