Sorry MultiGrooves but I think you are a partially wrong. I see your point about EastEnders being fiction and the nation should not be so stupid, but it unfortunately is. EastEnders is one of the major soaps and is watched religiously, therefore they have a responsibility to be factual when reflecting real-life situations in fictional story lines.
The baby swap part is not the issue for most. They have made basic cot death fact mistakes, and as such, have undone 20 years of good work by cot death charities.
For me though, the worst part has been the acting! :-)
