christmas bread adventures.
at parents in law, thought I'd try baking a sourdough in their wood burner.
one side perfect
other side less so
of course it was pure cosmetic as it's bread. 2mm in it's perfect lovely amazing sourdough!
baking a woodburner is great. next step pizza shelf! -

I learned to make Tiramisu a while ago. I usually make it for parties, although it doesn't make it there half of the time xD.
Another thing I love making is burritos. The ingredients aren't all that easy to track down, but it. is. so. worth it.
As for cyclists not being big eaters. I know I love food, especially when coming back from a bike ride. -

Proper stodge for me tonight.
Made some fresh pesto which smells insanely tasty.
To go with:
A load of charlotte potatoes (the little guys), cut into round slices about the size of a 2 pound coin.
Put into a boiling cauldron - cook for 10 minutes.
Then add a handful of dried spaghetti.
Cook for 5 mins.
A handful of green beans, slice in half so you have beans the length of matches. Add.
Cook a further five mins along with a glug of good olive oil.Strain (make sure you save a cup of the water) put back into the pan, add the water and the fresh pesto. another glug of oil. season, stir till the potato starts to get messy, over a low heat.
Bang.
I did about 2 kilos and I'm still going strong. I got another few hundred grams left in me at least.

any of you foodies interested in this?
a cuisinart GR4U griddle/pannini thingy.
better than a george forman thing heavier and better made.
easily convertible between flat and griddle by pressing a button on side to remove plates so they can be washed.
ridged griddle used once on a shoot, flat plate not used boxed with all accessories instructions and warranty card (there is a box to tick for 'gift' so you can send off to cusinart for warranty)can be used for sandwiches as well as griddle or fry if you open it up. plates pop off to clean so less mess.
£100 in the shops £60 collected from tooting or possible meet central. it's quite heavy so would need a massive courier bag and HTFU.

Ah, that stew looks pretty edible. My mother used to make a very similar one. She would add runner beans instead of spinach, but I bet it's a great winter meal nonetheless.
