Right, finally purchased a jacket so I thought I would share, I got a Montane Krypton jacket.
I hope this is an adaquate compromise between effective wicking (as I run hot when cycling), some insulation on the colder days (it has a fleecey liner) and windstoppping when it's chapping. As an added bonus it is semi waterproof although this wasn't a priority for me.
Thoughts to come once I've worn it for a bit.
