Fat bikes are great in soft conditions, snow/sand and you would be surprized how light the wheels are and how well the ride in the dry, love my SS Pug

Really - I stand corrected, and apologies for calling your bike an atrocity ;)

It's the only thing I've been riding for the last month or so, but that's cause I live in the Frozen North!

I have a SS MTB with massive Hookworms on, but only about 1/2 the size of those. It's a hoot to ride, and even with the tyres weighs a lot less than bike with sus forks etc.

As the surface you are riding on gets softer, or more rocky. The added traction of fatter tyres, quickly starts to outweigh the negative effect of extra weight.

I dont get it? You quoted a line, then asked a question that was directly answered by the quote...? :)It's "not done" to post your own bikes in this pron thread.
In that case, it's called "Readers Wives (Anti-)Porn"
I'm not sure if this is your own bike, that why the question mark. -

The Hookworms are massively heavy tyres and pretty much suited for urban downhilling, the alternative like the Fat Frank rode a lots better as it's noticeably lighter (rotational weight).
