I like that Russian article, although this bit got me:
a low gear ratio is best. My winter bike is a 16-42 fixed
that's not a low gear, that's about stock for otp fixed bikes isn't it? (guess i'm annoyed because if that's a low gear what the hell is my 60 gi?!) unless he's using a 16t chainring and 42t cog?! :)
10.3 gear inches. That's low in my book.

Buff have brought out a merino wool version. I bought one the other day in evans, Did a price match so got it for £18 instead of £22. It is great, and twice as long as the other ones I have.

I've had a merino buff for some years now. Made buy a local Norwegian company Devold. I use it when winter running, at temperatures reaching -10. The mad thing is that even when it is soaked in sweat and melted snow, it feels warm.
Very useful if you like to cover your mouth partially, as moisture from from your breath doesnt have such a negative effect on its comfort.

Twowheeldelivery deliberately posting random stuff quickly in succession to escape the nursery is frowned upon, mainly because there's no need for it. Welcome nonetheless.

Back on topic: this morning when I got to work I had icicles in my beard! Seriously! 3 icicles.
