I was hoping the banking bit would be the most hurtful.
I need to get a touring bike sorted. Been staring at Kaffenbacks today.

ToW is not a touring bike event.
You return to the same place each day from what I gather, simple road bike should suffice. -

horatio -
you are right. Banking hurts. It does pay well, much better than insurance, which makes it hurt doubly much.
I want to ride to Monte Carlo as well but have a huge amount of training to get through to be in with a remore chance. I also need to get skinny.

I just notice that the winner of the skid competition tend to be someone who's obese.
make sense though, more weight on front wheel.
absolute cunt scoble why would you randomly come out with that
-
• #762
Perhaps because it has been noted at a few skid comps?
Greater mass, greater momentum so despite applying resistance the skidder travels further?
Same way larger riders need bigger discs on mtb's as more retardation is required?
Clearly its a discipline in cycling where being a whippet or muscle mary is not required, it makes cycling more inclusive as it welcomes the fatties.

This ToW business - do the three days always start and end at the same point? On the accommodation front would I just need to sort out three nights in the same place? [/intrigued...]

what is up with you and scoble I might be a bit fat but is that any reason to start having a dig at me from nowhere I have seen both you and scoble and there is plenty I could start slagging you off about. PRICKS.

So we are pricks and cunts? We could go and fuck ourselves - that's my evenings entertainment sorted.
Johnny, you are taking it all a little seriously. Your witty comeback took an hour to compose, awesome reposte.
I note Clive made light of it, but clearly its a weighty issue for you.

Yes, each day starts and ends in Somerton. There is a camp site at the event HQ which friends have stayed in and say is ok if weather holds.

The ToW is open to all but the Manchester Oxford jaunt is with four others from my firm going between our UK offices and the Monte Carlo run is the Lloyds Cycling Club (insurance not banking).
