Ive got an early 80s holdsworth frame and I tried to fit a miche primato bb. After removing the old campy bb the miche bb was tight to thread in on one side and stopped with the off side cup only in about half way with significant Thread left out of the frame. The other side is fine so am I right in thinking I need to get the thread on tw frame re-cut? What is the proper term for this and where in west or central London could this be done?

I put new bearings and regreased the old campy bb but with it back in the locking keeps falling off because there is hardly any thread for it to screw onto and with new miche primato cranks e chainline is no longer straight. Is it worth doing anything about this? Is it safe to ride, I can tighten it on a bit but it slips and jumps the tread if it is tightened fully. The bb seems to be ok but could I find myself going flying if it gets loose (I'm fiddling fixed)? Cheers in advance
