lobb make beautiful brogues that will last forever but are so expensive even second hand.
i have a pair of church that have been loyal for many years. church had a rule i heard that if their shoes had been resoled by somebody else they would not do a refurb on them. this may or may not be true. worth noting though,, just in case.
