Seen it last night, as a standalone film, it's really good.
As a Tron sequel, it's a bit hit and miss.
And when did Flynn Snr. turn into The Dude? -

Does anyone have a DVD copy of the original Tron movie that they're willing to lend/copy/sell? You can't get it on the web for less than £20 because (word has it) Disney forced sellers to take it down before Legacy had its run. Can't even buy it off iTunes.
I've seen it but the missus hasn't and feels the need to be fully informed before seeing Legacy, although apparently knowledge isn't necessary. Gives me a chance to get hyped-up if nothing else....
Thanks fellow Grid-runners...

I had this same problem a couple of months ago, searched the entirety of London and they had all been pulled. In the end I downloaded it in 30 minutes - beats trawling London for 4 hours.

Thanks, I think Torrent is going to have to be the way to go for now, although it does go against all my 'principles' (of which there are few enough already).

You can watch that youtube one in 1080p also so it'll be as good as any torrent you'll find. If you can bear switching videos every 15 minutes.

Yep, then switch videos every 15 minutes ;)

• #87
yeah but you'll be buffering a lot.
Unless of course you've got super speedy broadband that can load 1080p videos of that size quicker than you can watch them

spoke to someone who remembers going to the first one in the eighties,
they had a disco ball in the cinema, and shone lazers into it, scattering beams all over the place, said it was mind blowingly futuristic at the time. -

Did anyone ever play "Ricochet" i'm hoping it'll be added onto the new Portal

lols, just get some glow in the dark paint and switch off the lights..
Also, riding home after the film I considered attaching some blue silk or something to the back of my mudguard to get some faux 'light blade' action off my bike

And when did Flynn Snr. turn into The Dude?Went to see today
Having seen Tron in cinema on boxing day when I was 10, I thought this stood well as a sequel.
wife and 6 y.o, and 10 y.o. had no fucking clue what was going on as they never saw Tron, however they still enjoyed it as a stand alone and I am sure this was not because of the tight cat suits or amazing Daft Punk soundtrack.
I saw it the other day, it's brilliant, yes, the story is a bit weak, but, catsuits, quorra is fucking hot.
