  • Get the Keos fitted properly.
I've used Atacs, no problem. I'm using Keos, and they're great. Apart from the "i need new cleats".

I think they're fitted ok but I'm just not liking road cleats and the slippyness of them. MTB shoes ftw.
I guess I should take this to the cleat thread.

  • I've got the Keos and ride with them on my, ahem, fixie. I know what you mean about the "slippiness" of them. I love that feeling of thinking your foot is in the pedal and then, ah no it's not.

  • Jayloo, don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet but with ATACs you can swap the cleats over (so you have the left cleat on the right foot and vice versa) which increases the angle you need to apply to unclip.

As discussed here in fact: http://www.lfgss.com/thread4453.html

This! And putting your foot down in the ice, and single sided pedals, I'm done.
Plus I haz Xmas moniez to burn, shamon.

  • first non de cliping............ just moved back to clips and straps on the olde retro ZEUS and cycling back from work forgot to undo the straps and................. fell off. i don't think any one seen me, don't know how though, all very slow motion. Silly old fart !

  • Had one earlier this year - coming down Woodborough Road in Nottingham (equiv gradient to Muswell or Highgate hill) and my cleat just popping out. Kept the bike up and straight and jammed my foot into the rear wheel - shoe was fucked, but i was ok. Decent trade off...

  • look keos + snow is terrible pulled away from the lights and both came unclipped. Also on big skids on grippy surfaces my keos pop out although i have got them on the loosest setting cause i fucked the tightening allen. :(

  • they're not straight on the shoe, but my feet are straight on the pedal when clipped in.
my left one was at slightly too much of an angle for a while and that hurt my knee, changed it to match the right one and no more hurty knee.

yeah, same with me. still, apparently it's too much to let me skid.
