  • Anyone know of a pub in central(ish) that has a fire?

Unlikely, unless they are using smokeless fuel. Which isn't the same as some gnarly old log action.

  • Right... Pub...

  • I'm going to go to the supermarket and do some panic buying, toilet roll and bread by the ton. Barge a few people into the tinned veg aisle whilst I'm at it.

  • I am at work, literally can't wait to ride home.

  • Clapton was under a snow attack...
Afraid my flight might be cancelled now, flying at 7am, tomorrow
to Lisbon, AFAIK Airports are closed.... :(

  • The train into liverpool St earlier

YouTube - Train Snow Plowing (slip)

  • This weather gets on my tits

  • Fell twice today already.
I must have seen maybe 2 other people cycling...
    no more. No jokes..
    My arse hurts a lot now... I have a feeling I won't
be able to fly in the morning too, so I'm not happy.
    Fuck this weather..
    Off to get drunk now.

  • Meant to go to Ashford for a job today. No trains, so sitting at home in the warm. Tempted to venture tot he cinema later though. Old St is a complete whiteout, no hipsters to be seen.

Good call, come down to my folks via ashford (high speed line) and the trains were a nightmare, Ashford station was chaos when i got there. Were a few trains going either way on the normal route but not reliable at all. The return journey tomorrow could be fun.

  • Does that pub in Sloane Square not have a fire? Sure it used to.

  • Saw this on Spiegel.de, picture from Amsterdam. The guy's a winner:

  • Just back from inching my way to Ladbroke Grove for some food. As I began another cyclist passed me by and said 'be careful on the roads mate'; sage advice, particularly as you had no lights.

  • Anyone else hear the miserable prick of a weather presenter on bbc news?

If it wan't snowing it would be raining and everyone would still have plenty to whinge about.

Fucking whingebags. Maybe all their hot air about the weather will melt the snow.

  • Stoke Newington looked jolly nice in the snow today

  • No cannibals.

  • Stoke Newington looked jolly nice in the snow today

Yeah, was lovely. Rode through Clissold Park at lunchtime. Manor Road was slow and slippy but the rest was brilliant fun.

  • No cannibals.

not even an inch of venison?

  • I don't mean to bitch here, and i'm actually not pissed off with the weather, but as stated a little earlier yesterday, the weather has been the cause of what is turning into a nightmare.

Two flights back home to Seattle have been cancelled through BA.
    Totally understandable.
What i'm struggling with, is the attitude of British Airways, who have quite simply, put their barriers up to ALL of their customers. "No other flights available before christmas" was a text message i just recieved. What a bunch of fuck ups.

  • Does that pub in Sloane Square not have a fire? Sure it used to.

Thought it did here - see review.

  • ^ One of my favourite pubs in London... That was my Saturday afternoon read-the-paper pub when I lived 'round the corner...

  • At the alps right now.

But really want to go home and ride my bike in the snow.

Let hope I can fly back tomorrow, least it's not BA.

  • Anyone know of a pub in central(ish) that has a fire?

Clean air act 1956 Says probably not.

  • Clean air act 1956 Says probably not.

Doesn't - there's loads of them. Just can't belch out smoke.

  • Hermit's Cave in Camberwell has an open fire... Just sayin'...
