Just a means of getting to work & doing some road miles, as well as the Bristol to London BHF ride.

jesus. some of you really are an ornery, judgemental and vindictive lot. give the man a break, he likes it, he's clearly spent a lot of time effort and money getting it that way, more power to him! so he stuck it up in the wrong corner of the forum, is that really all it takes to rip the bloke a new one? if you're not that fond of it, an opinion to which you are entitled, at least have the grace and dignity to say so without resorting to invective from the get go.

To be fair I'd been told that LFGSS was like this, didn't think it would be, have been proven wrong, shan't bother to hang around here much as I have a lfe that doesn't involve being a cunt to people who I don't even know.

Well, I'm sorry you've not had the best experience to "kick-off" your initial dabblings within this forum, but try to understand the sheer volume of posts that get started up. There are many people on here who spend a lot of time trying to keep this forum the smooth running outfit that it is. It takes a while to understand the dynamics, but one thing's for sure, if most people held back from posting for a while, they would get a smoother transition into the community.
I would imagine that once you've put a few miles into that bike, you'll realise that there's a few changes that will be made for the better. Enjoy.

Seems like a nice ride. Light and stiff looking. Should be fun. Unnderstated looks too.
Thing is when you dedicate a whole thread to a bike, it builds it up somewhat.

Thats the point though is'nt it. People on here dont know you, therefore you cant take their comments personally. That would'nt make any sense. Its just banter, go with it. I'm not saying this place is'nt full of cnuts, just that they're lovable cnuts really.
Anyway, enjoy the bike, and good luck with Bristol-London, that sounds like a decent challenge to ride fixed.

So away I went with my fixed build only to find that the race on the headset I have for it is the wrong size and the bb I have is Italian thread. Project fail at first hurdle....

Find magic gear, forget chain tensioner.
-
• #38248
even with magic gear, chain wear means it goes slack after time anyway.
-
• #38249
Chains don't wear, they stretch.

Get a better saddle, and pink grips.
Don't be such a vag.
You post it up, you should be prepared for opinion. Did you honestly expect us all to coo at it and lavish you with praise for such a wondrous build? It's a bit shit.
