did a gig in the queen's head opposite o cantinho de portugal last night. dragged the band over there for dinner but made the mistake of only leaving about 25 minutes in which to order and eat. wolfed down the octopus salad and a handful of other tapas type bits including the famed flaming chorizo and ended up taking away most of it in helpfully provided takeaway containers.
another error of judgement on my part was that two of the six of us are veggie and lovely as this place is, there's really not much on the menu for non meat eaters. poor old jim the drummer was the prime instigator of the "let's go and get food" plan and i dragged him into a place where he was limited to chips, vegetable torilla and salad. literally everything else on the menu contained meat or fish.
still lovely though. *thumbs up.
