• The other side is probably over compensating, you don't need much tension (and extra tension gives you RSI), just even up the tension for each arm.

    Use the small tension screws to add/remove tension to each side until they spring back evenly... tightening the screw adds tension, undoing it removes tension, if you run out of threads or need to drastically add/remove tension you remove the caliper arm and change the tension hole you're using (as mentioned above).

    Other possibility: Your pad is clipping the edge of your tyre or the water-removal groove on your rim and is causing the pad to "stick" in place.
