^ Did that story make it over here from Germany? (I'm not too attentive with the news so would probably have missed it if so). It should have, just from the few words on here about it, it makes me feel awful and angry that it happened (to anyone but especially an old boy who was helping others) but even angrier that they are talking about using water cannons in the streets here. Has it come to this? Against our own children? Spontaneous, defiant, protesting children - not armed thugs, organised criminals or terrorists.
Stuttgart 21 was for a while the biggest story in Germany. I'm not too sure what the state of play is right now, but it was almost like the equivalent of people here protesting against Crossrail.
