in fairness- in london it's probably no probs, I've been crushed inbetween cars and buses lots in yorkshire as the cycling awareness seems to be crap - + we don't have cycle lanes anywhere. with any bar wider than 44 i run a serious chance of knocking a wing mirror off or scratching a window
saying that i run a 60cm bar on my mtb and i love it (although it's not uncommon for me to hit trees!)
P.s the woodchipper is 66cm!! (outside measurement) 80mm bigger than the midge and 110grams heavier
