giant omnium/TCR track frameset. Probably a 2007-8 model as current models have even beefier hydroformed down tube. Giant logo & integrated headset gave it.

  • Is'nt there a better place for him to store his Yu-Gi-Oh cards then his back wheel?

  • Am I a bad man for wanting one of those NITTO t-shirts?

    Wrong.
Track frames have gussets near the seat lug.
Plus beefier seat and down tubes.
Even mine, which is from the 1st generation.

Hes the latest addition to this team

  • do you have any other info? bb type, break bridge, drop outs ?

the bb is italian thread, hence why i though it could have been a basso or benotto. the only other markings on the bb are: I 52

Just so you know track ends and horizontal dropouts are very different things.

It has wheels, so its a car.

i can't find anything... sorry. I 'm sure that i have seen again those lugs but i can't
be sure about and my "source" enjoy his pension somewhere in the mountains...
I thought that it was a Bottecchia or a de Bernardi but i have noticed that
    the top tube its shaped...
i can only speculate and been jealous.

    The guys right!
Haven't noticed anything else on giants line up that would fit the description though.unless its some oe random prebuilt, or mauve somethinwe don't get on the uk?

Also used to have a giant mtb in team colours, really distinctive

hehehe thanks for the jealousy! makes the frame that much more special :)

the tubes are made from Columbus Gilco tubing in the 5-star shape. it was offered to other manufacturers as an alternative to the 4-star tubing that colnago was using (colnago had exclusive rights to the 4-star version). i think what i've just said is not bull but i may be mistaken!

  • Anyone has an idea about the groupset?
Claimed to be C-Record, but comparing at Velobase makes me feel like it's a mixture.

    Headset: Record?
    Cranks: Chorus?
    Brakes: Delta C-Record
    Levers: Record?
    Mechs: ?

Shitty photos, but all I've got.

  • The levers look like Athena to me, but seeing as they are coupled with Delta brakes it's a fair bet to say they are Record.

From those photos, the derailleurs are anyone's guess.

  • The Cranks look like either Croce D'Aune or Athena, if they have the reverse threaded extractor bolts then they are CDA. The Deltas are either CDA or Record. The mechs and the levers I can't see clearly enough from the pics, Campag of this age is difficult to identify even if you have it in your hands.

The hubs don't look like C record from those pics either - probably Chorus.

It's a nice looking bike though.

  • ^^^
    Cranks are Croc
    Delta brakes are Crec
Headset is difficult to say as chorus croc and crec had the same design
seatpost crec or mid 90s chorus
    Brifters probably chorus
    Hubs probably croc or chorus

Nice batavus pro tho, columbus slx?
I did have a similair one but with wrapover stays - like gazelle CM - too bad it's gone..
also it looks like that isn't the original fork, but i could be wrong.

I can't see the centre clips on the hubs that C Rec and CDA had?

Agreed on the fork - It doesn't look original.
