I'd go for Samsung, partly because they're reputable.

I am on a tight tv budget would people recommend a 23" Samsung Full HD Tv for £190 or a a cheap 26" HD ready for £200 (this is just for Xbox360 gaming) views?
At that size It won't matter a great deal. Most of the panels around that price bracket are fairly similar.
But yeah, I'd trust Samsung.

If you're only using it for gaming, look at getting a computer monitor instead, you can get bigger ones for cheaper.

Go bigger, 23 inches is pretty small for gaming

half? god luck with that. the half of your life which already is destroyed (that is, the part where you're not working, doing chores, etc..) is all you'll have left.

Hmm, this thread may be too hardcore, but I just bought a 360 with Kinect.
It's fun as fuck.
That is all.

Kinect seems like such a gimmick. Way more than Wii ever was. To me. Someone prove me wrong?

Catching up on this thread since I haven't looked at it in a while.
No 360 because I refuse to pay for online services. I just play those at my mates house or borrow his 360 for a bit. Still need to play halo reach.
Firstly Halo Reach is very good. I think you are going to have to get over your reluctance of paying for online services. The model is now here for good, Sony are embracing it on PSN and all game studios are counting on it for income.
my first gaming was with those handheld preprogramed thing that were v popular in hte 80s.
2 screens, 1 game.
....They were called Game&Watch and were made by Nintendo. Mario's first outing was on Donkey Kong on the orange Game&Watch.
Another thing how is it in the last 100 or so posts no one has mentioned the Amiga. That was a rock solid home computing platform, it a shame we don't have anything like it now. Maybe it's an age things.
Just go look up the following games :
Speedball 2
Chaos Machine
Alien Breed
Xenon 2
Sensible Soccer
Lemmings
Syndicate
Cannon Fodder
Super Stardust
Micro Machines
Sim City
Kick OffAs for WoW don't get me started, I can't say it was an outright bad thing, just try to balance your play time. I want to give LOTR a go, but I just don't have the time these days.

Oh I forgot to add earlier fallout new Vegas was only 19 when I went in there at lunch. Is it not selling as well as people thought or something?

Kinect yes for gaming may indeed be more gimmick than anything useful. However there are people putting the technology to other uses. As a gaming accessory ~£120 is expensive. But if you are a student studying robotics or alternative input mechanisms for computers etc then ~£120 is almost a bargain.

Very cool. Similar to people using power gloves for VR stuff, but much much cooler.

I got my Xbox back from Microsoft today.
They've refused to fix it under warranty because of 'evidence of tampering'. They've shown on the console where this 'evidence' is. Basically, it's minimal scuffing on the back of the console, near the power supply. It is so minor and inconsequential. I've never had a go at opening it, and Stringerman, from whom I purchased it, hasn't either.
Microsoft have said that they will still fix my Xbox for a price, which seems like about £80 from a quick googling. That's a fucking astronomic fee considering I can go out and buy a brand new one for £140 or so.
Do you think it's worth me taking this up with Microsoft, as they're clearly trying to dick me out of a repair, or do I chalk it up as just the way life works and remember fondly the time MW2 and I had together?
Just for a final kick in the teeth, it broke the day before Black Ops was due out.

Ugh Ed, I have banned myself from WoW as it directly impedes on my ability to do anything great with my life.
You were warned.

Part of the low sales are all the early reviews slating it for so many awkward and downright game-breaking bugs. Most definitely patched for PC by now, doubtful on consoles.
